How to Use PXE boot on CLI terminals

Problem: There is a need to set the CLI client to PXE boot.

Solution: Enter the BIOS and change the boot order to allow LAN or PXE boot.

Procedure:

Note:MT1200, does not support BIOS, therefore there is no support for PXE boot on MT1200.

***NOTE*** if your MT1500 terminal will not go into BIOS, it can be upgraded to support this feature.  Contact CLI tech support if the terminal needs to be upgraded to support PXE boot.

MT15XXX or MT35XXX

-Power on the MT1500, or MT3500 
-Press SHIFT + F10 (keep pressing SHIFT + F10) until you see the Realtek Boot Agent screen
-Here you can configure PXE boot menus
-Network Boot Protocol should be PXE
-Boot Order Probably should be Int 19h (this will boot network first, then local devices)
-Show Config Message ( should be ENABLE or DISABLE depending on what you want to show)
-Press F4 to save
-The terminal will boot to the standard PXE menu screens.

ET4/5000 client

-Power on the terminal press DELETE key to enter the BIOS main menu
-Select Advanced BIOS features, press ENTER
-Select FIRST BOOT DEVICE press ENTER
-Select LAN press ENTER
-Press ESCAPE to return to main menu
-Select INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS press ENTER
-Select VIA ONCHIP PCI DEVICE press ENTER
-Select VIA-3043 ONCHIP LAN press ENTER
-Select ENABLED (default selection)
-Terminal is now configured for PXE boot
-Press F10 press ENTER to save and exit BIOS
-You will see PXE boot menu press F8 to select a boot option

ET45XX client

-Power on press the DELETE key to get to the BIOS main menu
-Select ADVANCED BIOS FEATURES press ENTER
-Select FIRST BOOT DEVICE press ENTER
-Select LAN press ENTER
-Press ESCAPE to get back to main menu
-Select INTEGRATED PERIPHERALS press ENTER
-Select VIA OnChip LAN press ENTER
-Select ENABLED press ENTER
-Select ONBOARD LAN BOOT ROM press ENTER
-Select ENABLED press ENTER
-Press F10 to save and exit the BIOS
-Press SHIFT + TAB to get to PXE boot option menu (select boot options here)
-Press F4 to save and exit
-You will see PXE boot menu press F8 to select a boot option

ST5/6xxx client

-Power on and press DELETE key to get to BIOS main menu
-Select ADVANCED BIOS FEATURES press ENTER
-Select FIRST BOOT DEVICE press ENTER
-Select Legacy LAN press ENTER
-Press F10 to save and exit the BIOS
-Press SHIFT + TAB to get to PXE boot option menu (select boot options here)
-Press F4 to save and exit
-You will see PXE boot menu press F8 to select a boot option

ST56/68xxx client

-Power on and press F2 key
-Select the BOOT menu
-Move the cursor to Legacy Network Card
-Press the <+> key to make it the nubmer 1 (1st) device in the Boot priority order
-Press F10 save and exit
-Press SHIFT + TAB to get to PXE boot option menu (select boot options here)
-Press F4 to save and exit
-You will see PXE boot menu press F8 to select a boot option
