Last Updated: Oct 10, 2016 03:21PM PDT
Problem: There is a need to reset CLI CE thin client to default values.

Solution: Reset the device to default values.

CE3, CE4, CE5, or CE6

-Press BACKSPACE key of PS/2 (not USB) keyboard and hold throughout the boot screens.

-Keep pressing BACKSPACE until you see the Windows wizard.

For MT2300 with CE5 or CE6 follow procedure below:

-power on

-after you hear the boot up beep, press the <backspace> key twice

-if you see a ‘blue’ progress bar, wait till the screen changes

-when you see the yellow progress bar, depress and hold the <backspace> key until the screen changes

NOTE: when performing the above you may hear a beeping sound.  Release and re-depress the <backspace> key until the beeping stops then continue to hold until the screen changes

-when the ‘WBT Setup Wizard’ screen appears, the device has been successfully reset to default.

Using the CLI Device Manager or SNMP software Right mouse click the client that you want to reset and select "Reset to Defaults".

Note: If it is important for you to gather the settings (LAN, application, etc.) from the client, it is best to remote into the device, prior to resetting it, or pull the registry, and save it first.  Details on pulling the registry settings can be found in the Device Manager, or CE user guides.
