How to build a UB10 Linux USB recover disk

Last Updated: Sep 21, 2018 01:55PM PDT

Problem: CLI UB10 Linux client is crashed, or just needs to be re-imaged using USB stick method.  You cannot re-image the device with CLI management console, FTP or by any other method.

Solution: Create, and build your own DOS bootable USB image recovery disk.

Discussion: This is useful if UB10 Linux has crashed, has become corrupt for whatever reason. CLI clients support re-imaging with your own deploy image, or the CLI "GOLD" image.  Multiple images can be stored on a USB 2.0 recover disk, so you can choose which image you want to restore.

Procedure: Reference the attached document and follow the instructions.

Note: USB 3.0 disks NOT supported, you must use a USB 2.0 drive to perform this operation.
