How set apps to autostart for a user UB10 Linux

Last Updated: Sep 21, 2018 02:06PM PDT
Problem:  When the thin client is booted, the User desktop is presented to the User  There is a need for an application like Chrome, Termpro, Office, etc. to be auto-launched instead of the desktop.

Solution: Setup any application that is loaded on the client image to auto-launch from the User Desktop.

Procedure: By default, CLI Linux UB10 does not have the START menu on the User desktop.  Position mouse cursor in lower left corner of the screen, Right mouse click/Add menu item/A Custom Menu.  Click START/Preferences/Startup Applications/Add.  Right mouse click to remove the menu when you have finished configuring, and finally enable write protection.  If you are using CLI Linux LX3, then you must login as root START/ALL/Management/System/user/Auto Run/Select the App

Note: If you intend to set Termpro to Autostart for the User, then you should likely set Termpro to delay before start.  Reference KB article.
